Who is Cookaracha?

Cookaracha (The Roach for short) is a first year student at one of the (many) top five MBA program's in the US. There are quite a few top five programs in the US. No one is sure about the exact number but one thing that everyone is sure about is that there are definitely more than five. (There are quite a few first year student's also but there is only one Roach)

The Roach is not very sure how he ended up in his current predicament and this site is basically about getting the facts right for historical record. For the Roach intends to make it big . If and when that happens he want's to have a ready reference for FT, WSJ, Economist, Fortune and the rest of the world's financial reporting community. Ofcourse there was a far easier and financially rewarding way of getting this done... But at this moment in time no one is willing to publish his autobiography (A Roach's life... ) and the Roach had to go into the publishing business for himself.

The Site and it's proposed audience.

As of now the site has a number of sections. You will probably find the Roach's selected web sites the most useful resource. Every week the Roach goes off the deep end of the net and comes back with the choicest tid bits/morsels that he find's interesting. Most of them have to do with an MBA program but on and off something weird may also slip in. Obviously the intended audience includes anyone remotely interested or connected with an MBA but if you are not, you are still more than welcome.

In his early twenties the Roach's life was changed irreversibly by an Actuarial goddess. Ever since then, Cookaracha has sported a very strong romantic interest with this profession of numbers. Lacking the necessary numerical skills himself, the Roach has set out to immortalize the profession (and his heart breaking story). Rumor also has it that it is this tale of unrequited love that inspired Sting to write & produce 'Shape of my heart'. If you haven't heard this number you must. Its the universal anthem of Actuaries.

Hence the Actuary Home. In the vain hope that one day Cookaracha will cross his destiny.... again.

The profoundness of stability.

The Roach is a full time student so the site initially, will be updated on a weekly basis. Weekly being broadly defined. As broad as a fortnight or even broader depending on the crisis raging in the Roach's life at that time. So come back in ten to fifteen days and see what the Roach has come up with. If you are a habitual netter and need to check the status of sites every few minutes, you will be sourly disappointed by how static this site will be over short periods of time (static being broadly defined ...... I know, I know we just covered that)
